Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
For California residents and consumers in other states with similar privacy laws (Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, etc.).
Short answer: we do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties for cross-context advertising. We use first-party analytics (Google Analytics 4, in measurement-only mode) to understand how visitors use this site — nothing more.
What we do collect
- Site analytics via Google Analytics 4: pages viewed, time on site, country/region, device type, traffic source. We have Google Signals OFF, Ads Personalization OFF, and User-ID OFF — meaning this data is NOT shared with Google's advertising network.
- Email address if you sign up for our email newsletter (kept on a private subscriber list — never sold or shared with third parties for ads).
- App profile data if you install the Class Action Buddy mobile app and create an account: your name, address, email, phone, payment-method handles (Venmo/Zelle), and the claims you file. We use this to auto-fill class action claim forms when you submit them. We do NOT share this data with anyone outside the settlement administrators you direct us to submit claims to.
How to opt out of analytics tracking
You have three options:
- Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on — works in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Get it here. Blocks Google Analytics on every site you visit, not just ours.
- Enable Global Privacy Control (GPC) — a one-time browser setting that automatically signals "do not track me" to every site you visit. Built into Brave, Firefox (with extension), and DuckDuckGo browser. Learn more. We honor this signal automatically.
- Email us at support@classactionbuddy.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell — [your email]" and we will manually exclude your email and IP address from our analytics within 15 business days.
Other rights under CCPA / CPRA / state privacy laws
California residents (under CCPA/CPRA) and consumers in Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and similar-law states have additional rights to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you
- Delete personal information we have collected about you (subject to legal exceptions — for example, completed class action claim filings have legal retention requirements)
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Receive a copy of your personal information in a portable, readable format
- Non-discrimination — we won't deny you service, charge you differently, or downgrade your account for exercising any of these rights
To exercise any of these rights, email support@classactionbuddy.com with the subject line "CCPA Request — [type of request]". We respond within 45 days. We may ask for verification to confirm your identity before processing.
Authorized agents
California residents can designate an authorized agent to make a request on their behalf. The agent must provide signed permission from you, and we may verify directly with you before processing.
