Short answer: two small but genuinely no-receipt settlements close within a day of each other. MG217 coal tar shampoo pays up to $7 a bottle nationwide, claims due September 24. Gotham Steel / Granite Stone / Bell & Howell cookware pays $6 a pan (max two) for California and Colorado buyers, claims due September 25. Each claim takes about two minutes.
1. MG217 shampoo — up to $7 a bottle, nationwide, due Sept 24
The case is Pineda v. Lake Consumer Products, Inc., No. 5:2024-cv-01074, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The lawsuit alleged that Lake did not manufacture MG217 coal tar shampoos — including Psoriasis Extra Strength, Psoriasis Medicated Conditioning 3% Coal Tar, and Dandruff Therapeutic — in line with good manufacturing practices regarding benzene levels. Lake denies wrongdoing; the court has not decided who is right.
You qualify if you bought any formulation of these products in the United States between January 1, 2021 and June 25, 2026. The settlement provides $1.2 million: a $700,000 cash fund and $500,000 in vouchers.

2. Gotham Steel cookware — $6 a pan, CA and CO only, due Sept 25
The case is Fouse and Miller v. E. Mishan & Sons, Inc., Case No. CVRI2505343, in the Superior Court of California, County of Riverside. The lawsuit alleged that Gotham Steel, Granite Stone and Bell & Howell cookware with stainless steel components was marketed as non-toxic and free of PFOA, PTFE, lead and cadmium despite the alleged undisclosed presence of those substances. The suit does not claim anyone was physically injured, and the company denies the allegations.
You qualify if you bought one of those cookware products, other than for resale, in California or Colorado between September 8, 2021 and July 6, 2026.
