Who Is Eligible?

You may be eligible to file a claim if you:

• You worked for Amazon as an hourly employee at a Pennsylvania site — a warehouse, fulfilment centre or delivery station.
• You were required to go through a COVID-19 screening before clocking in. The claim is that the time spent queuing and being screened went unpaid.
• Salaried staff are not in this class, and neither is screening time at sites outside Pennsylvania.
• You do not need to prove any of this. The class was drawn from Amazon's own payroll and scheduling records, so if you qualify you are already identified. There is no claim form and nothing to submit.
• The notice describes a class of roughly 30,000 workers. That figure, like the fund size, comes from the notice rather than from a settlement administrator we could verify.

How Much Can You Get?

No per-person figure has been published, and with no administrator site up there is nowhere to look one up.

The arithmetic is at least simple. A $3 million fund shared across the roughly 30,000 workers the notice describes is about $100 each before anything comes out of it. Attorneys’ fees, administration and any service awards come out first, so the realistic figure is lower — somewhere in the region of $60 to $70 if a third of the fund goes to costs, which is typical.

Treat that as a sketch rather than a number. Wage settlements like this one almost never split evenly: allocation usually tracks how many qualifying shifts each person worked, so a full-time worker across the whole covered period lands well above someone who did a few months.

Both inputs are also unverified. The fund size and the headcount come from the settlement notice, not from an administrator we could check, and the arithmetic is only as good as they are.

What you do about it is nothing. There is no claim to file and no way to increase your share, and payment follows final court approval and the expiry of any appeal window.

How to File Your Claim

The administrator has not published a claim form for this settlement. The steps below are what filing will involve once one exists.

• Do nothing. That is the whole instruction. This settlement pays automatically to workers identified from Amazon’s records, and there is no claim form to complete.
• Keep your address current with Amazon and with the US Postal Service. A cheque posted to an address you left three jobs ago is the most common way people miss an automatic payment.
• Read anything that arrives from the settlement administrator. Notice may come by post or email, and it will carry the details this page cannot yet: your own allocation and the administrator’s contact route.
• Only act if you want out. To leave the settlement and keep your own right to sue Amazon over this, you must opt out by 15 October 2026. Opting out means no payment.
• There is no official settlement website yet, so be wary of any site asking you to “file a claim” for this settlement or charging a fee to do so. There is nothing to file.
