Team Group, Inc. has agreed to a $1.1 million class action settlement (Griffin et al. v. Team Group, Inc., Case No. 2:24-cv-03681, U.S. District Court, Central District of California) to resolve claims that the company misrepresented the advertised speeds of certain DDR-3, DDR-4, and DDR-5 dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) products.
Plaintiffs allege that Team Group marketed its DRAM modules at speeds that could not actually be achieved "out of the box" and required users to adjust their PCs (overclocking, BIOS changes, XMP profiles) to hit the advertised numbers. Team Group denies any wrongdoing and is settling to avoid the cost and uncertainty of continued litigation.
If you bought one or more Team Group DRAM products in the U.S. between May 3, 2020 and April 8, 2026, you can claim up to 5 products without any proof of purchase — and receive a pro-rata share of the $1.1 million fund. The actual per-product amount depends on how many valid claims are filed by the July 7, 2026 deadline.
Who Is Eligible?
You may be eligible to file a claim if you:
- Purchased one or more Team Group DDR-3, DDR-4, or DDR-5 DRAM memory products (any product line — T-Force, T-Create, Elite, Vulcan, Delta, Xtreem, etc.)
- Made the purchase between May 3, 2020 and April 8, 2026
- Were living in the United States at the time of purchase
- Are not an employee, officer, director, agent, or counsel of Team Group (and are not the judge presiding over the case)
Unlike some settlements, there is no state restriction — class members from any U.S. state are eligible.
How Much Can You Get?
This is a pro-rata settlement: each valid claimant receives a proportionate share of the $1.1 million fund (after attorneys' fees, costs, and administration), based on the number of products they claimed.
You can claim up to 5 Team Group DRAM products per household without any proof of purchase. If you bought more than 5 products, you may claim those too, but you must provide documentation (receipts, order confirmations, packaging, etc.) for everything beyond the first 5.
The exact per-product payout won't be known until after the July 7, 2026 deadline. Comparable RAM settlements have historically paid around $5–$15 per product depending on claim volume, which would put a 5-product no-proof claim somewhere in the $25 to $75 range. This is an estimate — actual amounts could be higher or lower.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need receipts for the Team Group DRAM settlement?
No. You can claim up to five (5) Team Group DDR-3, DDR-4, or DDR-5 DRAM products per household without any proof of purchase. If you purchased more than five products, you must provide documentation for the additional ones.
How much money will I get?
Payments are pro-rata — your share depends on how many valid claims are filed against the $1.1 million settlement fund (after attorneys' fees, costs, and administration). Each valid claimant receives a proportionate share based on the number of products purchased, up to the 5-product no-proof cap.
When is the deadline to file?
Claims must be submitted online or postmarked by July 7, 2026. The final fairness hearing is scheduled for September 3, 2026.
Which Team Group products are covered?
Any Team Group, Inc. DDR-3, DDR-4, or DDR-5 dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) product — including T-Force, T-Create, Elite, Vulcan, Delta, Xtreem, and other product lines — purchased between May 3, 2020 and April 8, 2026 while living in the United States.
How will I receive my payment?
You choose one of five payment methods on the claim form: Virtual Prepaid Card, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or Physical Check (mailed to the address you provide).
Is this the same as the G.Skill RAM settlement?
No — these are two separate settlements involving different companies. The G.Skill RAM settlement (deadline April 7, 2026) only covers G.Skill DDR-4 and DDR-5 products. The Team Group DRAM settlement covers Team Group's DDR-3, DDR-4, and DDR-5 products and has a separate $1.1M fund. If you bought RAM from both companies, you may be eligible to file in both.
