Westlake Financial Services has agreed to pay $1.2 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging the company charged illegal convenience fees through payment processor ACI on retail installment contracts.
The case, Klare v. Westlake Services LLC d/b/a Westlake Financial Services (Case No. 2:23-cv-06386-FMO), was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. If you had a retail installment contract assigned to Westlake and paid a convenience fee to ACI between June 20, 2022, and August 18, 2025, you may be eligible for compensation.
