Who Is Eligible?

To qualify for this settlement, you must have been in one of three classes:
- Medical monitoring class: Resided in Hoosick Falls/Town of Hoosick for 6+ months between 1996-2016, drank contaminated water, and had blood PFOA levels exceeding 1.86 micrograms per liter
- Municipal water property owners: Purchased property on or before December 16, 2015
- Private well property owners: Owned property when PFOA was discovered in their well after December 16, 2015
Proof was required including blood serum test results (medical class), property deeds (property classes), and water test results (private well class).
How Much Can You Get?
The total settlement fund was $27 million. Of that, $14.57 million was allocated for property damage payments calculated proportionally based on fair market property values. Medical monitoring benefits included blood tests and doctor visits. Individual payment amounts varied depending on property value and claim category.
