Tyson Foods and Cargill have agreed to pay a combined $87.5 million ($55M from Tyson, $32.5M from Cargill) to settle a class action lawsuit alleging the companies conspired to fix the prices of beef products, causing consumers to overpay.
The case, In re: Cattle and Beef Antitrust Litigation (Case No. 0:22-MD-3031), was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. If you purchased beef made from chuck, loin, rib, or round primal cuts between August 2014 and December 2019 in one of 26 eligible states, you may be entitled to compensation.
