Filing Deadline
Apple agreed to pay $95 million to settle a class action lawsuit accusing the company of unintentionally activating Siri on its devices and recording private conversations. The lawsuit alleged that these recordings were shared with third parties, violating users' privacy rights.
Current and former owners of Siri-enabled devices — including iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, MacBook, iMac, HomePod, iPod touch, and Apple TV — who experienced unintended Siri activations between September 17, 2014, and December 31, 2024, during confidential conversations were eligible for compensation.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my Siri recorded me without permission?
You may have experienced unintended Siri activation if you noticed Siri responding when you didn't say 'Hey Siri' or press the home button, if Siri seemed to activate during conversations, or if you found unexpected recordings in your Siri history. Even if you're not certain, you may still be eligible if you owned a qualifying device.
When will I receive my Apple Siri settlement payment?
Payment timing depends on when the settlement receives final court approval and how long the claims process takes. This can typically take several months to over a year from the initial settlement announcement. Class Action Buddy will notify you of important deadlines and updates.
Do I need proof that Siri recorded me to get money from this settlement?
The specific documentation requirements have not yet been announced. You may need to provide proof of device ownership, but whether you need evidence of actual unwanted recordings is still being determined. Keep any relevant purchase receipts or device information you have available.
