Waste Connections' rate-increase settlement is for business customers — residential customers are expressly excluded. If your organization arranged or received solid waste collection from any Waste Connections entity under its own service agreement at any point since August 13, 2018, you're likely in the class of Pinnacle Waste Services, LLC v. Waste Connections US, Inc., No. 7:21-cv-02600-JDA, in the District of South Carolina. The lawsuit concerns the pricing and rate adjustments the hauler's entities charged. The fund is $1,400,000 — smaller than aggregator listings claim — and the attorneys' fees and service award come out of it before the class sees anything. What remains is split in equal shares per approved claim, mailed within 30 days of the settlement taking effect. No per-claim estimate is published anywhere on the settlement site, and checks expire after 90 days. Filing is the only way to be paid: online with the Claimant ID from your notice, or by the downloadable paper form, postmarked or submitted by October 22, 2026.
