Who Is Eligible?
You may be eligible to file a claim if you:
- You are a California resident.
- You enrolled in and paid for at least one renewal term of a YouTube TV subscription between February 1, 2017 and October 29, 2021.
- You subscribed and were billed directly through YouTube (YouTube billing), for personal, family, or household use.
- You are NOT eligible if you enrolled through Apple's iOS App Store, canceled your subscription during a free trial, or received a full refund from YouTube or Google.
- Many class members received an email notice about the settlement; if you got one, YouTube's records already identified you as eligible.
How Much Can You Get?
The settlement creates a $7.5 million non-reversionary fund, meaning all of it is paid out and none reverts to Google. Every approved claimant receives an equal pro-rata share, which the settlement administrator estimates at roughly $92.26 per person. Because it is pro-rata, your actual check could be a bit higher or lower depending on how many valid claims come in, and it is not tied to what you personally paid for the subscription. Payments go out by check in the mail or electronically — an ACH transfer, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or a virtual prepaid card sent to your email if the administrator has no mailing address for you. No money is paid until the court grants final approval (the hearing is set for October 15, 2026) and any appeals are resolved. How to File Your Claim
File with the administrator:
- Submit a claim form by August 30, 2026 at the official settlement website, youtubetvsettlement.com. This is the only way to receive a payment.
- No proof of purchase is required, but only file if you actually qualify — the claim is submitted under penalty of perjury.
- Check the exclusions before filing: if you enrolled through Apple's App Store, canceled during a free trial, or were fully refunded, you do not qualify.
- Choose how you want to be paid (a mailed check or an electronic option such as PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, ACH, or a virtual prepaid card) when you file.
- Questions can go to the settlement administrator at info@YouTubeTVSettlement.com or (833) 421-7317. To opt out or object instead, submit your request by the same August 30, 2026 deadline.
