Finastra is financial software most people have never touched directly, which makes this an easy settlement to miss. The company runs systems for banks and lenders, so your information can sit with Finastra because of who you bank with rather than anything you signed up for. If Finastra sent you a notice saying your private information may have been caught up in the data incident, you are in the class. The letter is what decides it. There are two cash routes and you take one. Documented out-of-pocket losses are reimbursed up to $2,500, covering things like identity theft losses and credit report fees, for losses between October 31, 2024 and November 27, 2026. The alternative is a pro rata cash payment: whatever remains in the fund after expenses and other benefits gets divided equally among everyone who picks that route. The case is Tina Parsley Hughes v. Finastra Technology in Broward County, Florida. Claims close November 27, 2026.

Who Is Eligible?

You may be eligible to file a claim if you:

  • Finastra sent you a notice. The class is people told their private information may have been impacted in the data incident.
  • The letter decides it, not whether you were ever a Finastra customer. Finastra runs software for banks and lenders, so your data can sit there because of who you bank with.

How Much Can You Get?

  • Documented out-of-pocket losses, up to $2,500. Credit report fees, the cost of freezing and unfreezing credit, replacing identity documents, and losses from fraud. Losses must fall between October 31, 2024 and November 27, 2026, and you need the paperwork.
  • Or the pro rata cash payment instead. No receipts to assemble. You take one route or the other, not both.
  • The pro rata route shares out whatever is left in the fund after expenses and the other benefits are paid, divided equally among everyone who chooses it. That means no fixed figure in advance.

    How to File Your Claim

    File with the administrator:

    • Work out which route pays more. If your documented losses are small, the pro rata payment needs no paperwork.
    • File at finastradatasettlement.com, online or by mailing the form.
    • Online claims close November 27, 2026.
    • The case is Tina Parsley Hughes, et al. v. Finastra Technology, Inc., Circuit Court for Broward County, Florida, Case No. CACE26013154.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is the deadline to file a claim for the Finastra Technology Data Breach Settlement?

The current deadline to file a claim is Nov 27, 2026. Claims sent by mail must be postmarked by this date, so allow about a week for delivery if you are not filing online.

How do I file a claim for the Finastra Technology Data Breach Settlement?

File directly with the settlement administrator, using the official claim form linked on this page. Class Action Buddy does not support this settlement in the app, so the administrator’s own claim process is the route. You do not need a Claimant ID or PIN to file.

I have never heard of Finastra. Why did I get a letter?

Finastra provides software to banks and lenders, so your information can be held by them because of a company you deal with rather than any direct relationship.

    Documented losses or pro rata?

Documented losses pay up to $2,500 but need records. The pro rata payment needs none, and its size depends on what is left in the fund and how many people choose it.
