Who Is Eligible?

You may be eligible to file a claim if you:

• You paid rent directly to a landlord, property manager, or owner-operator for a multifamily residential lease (an apartment, not a single-family home rented from an individual).
• The property used one of RealPage's revenue-management products — YieldStar, AI Revenue Management, or Lease Rent Options. Check the Property List on the official site.
• You paid that rent between October 18, 2018 and November 21, 2025.
• You do not need to have known about or used RealPage yourself. Many renters had no idea their building priced units this way.
• You must be able to document that you paid rent — see below. This is not a no-proof settlement.

How Much Can You Get?

Payments are made pro rata from the $359.9 million fund, and renters who paid more in rent receive larger payments. There is no fixed per-person amount: your share depends on how much rent you paid during the class period and how many people file.

You will need to prove you paid the rent. The claim form asks for each eligible address along with the lease start month, the monthly rent, and how many months you leased — and for each address you must attach documentation covering at least one month of that lease. The form is explicit that "failure to provide acceptable supporting documentation may result in the rejection of your claim."

Anything that shows you personally paid rent will do: a lease agreement, a rent ledger from the landlord or resident portal, rent renewal letters, move-in or move-out statements, payment confirmations, a bank statement with unrelated lines redacted, a canceled check, proof of renter's insurance, or a money order receipt.

Only the person who actually paid counts. If you split rent with a roommate, each of you files separately for your own share.

How to File Your Claim

The administrator has not published a claim form for this settlement. The steps below are what filing will involve once one exists.

• Gather your proof first. This is the step that decides whether your claim survives, so start here rather than at the form.
• Look up the property on the Property List at RealPageRentalSettlement.com to confirm it used RealPage revenue-management software.
• File online at the official site — this is the recommended route because you can upload your documents directly. Postal filing means posting copies you will not get back.
• File by January 29, 2027.
