Reynolds Consumer Products has agreed to pay $212,000 to settle an Arizona Attorney General action alleging the company falsely marketed Hefty brand bags as "recyclable" when they were not accepted by most recycling programs.
The case, State of Arizona v. Reynolds Consumer Products Inc., et al., was brought by the Arizona Attorney General's office. If you are an Arizona consumer who purchased Hefty "Recycling" bags or transparent blue or clear Hefty bags and filed a complaint, you may be eligible for a proportional share of the restitution fund.
