The VSL#3 probiotic settlement pays $20 per unit you bought, and you don't need a receipt to claim one. VSL Pharmaceuticals has agreed to a $20 million fund to end Starr v. VSL Pharmaceuticals, Inc., No. 8:19-cv-02173-LKG, in the District of Maryland. The lawsuit says the company falsely told consumers that the VSL#3 formulation sold between June 1, 2016 and June 19, 2019 had been proven effective in clinical tests for certain medical conditions — and that buyers overpaid because of it. VSL denies wrongdoing. Anyone who bought VSL#3 in that window is in the class. Without proof of purchase, you can claim one unit per household — $20. With receipts, you claim the greater of three units or however many your records show, up to 40 units, or $800. There is a third path worth knowing: class counsel obtained sales records from VSL and certain retailers, so if you file with the credentials from your mailed notice, those records count as your proof. Everything is due October 20, 2026 — the claim, exclusion requests, and objections all share that postmark deadline. Filing a claim is the only way to be paid.
