Two claim routes: a documented loss claim of up to $7,500 if you can evidence what the breach cost you, or a pro-rata cash payment requiring no documentation at all. The settlement has a sensible safeguard here — if you choose the documented route and your proven losses turn out to be less than the pro-rata payment, you automatically receive the larger pro-rata amount instead.
