How “no proof” works: You attest under penalty of perjury that you bought the product / used the service / were affected by the incident during the class period. No receipts, no photos, no documentation. Payouts are capped at a lower amount vs. proof-required claims, but no-proof is often the fastest path to money for people who did not save receipts.

How much can I actually get without proof?
Varies. Some settlements pay $10-25 no-proof. Data breach settlements typically pay $50-100 no-proof. A few pay $150 or more without proof, and data-breach settlements with a documented-loss tier can go higher still. The list above shows what is actually open right now. How much you end up with depends entirely on how many you qualify for; most people find a handful, not dozens.
Is this legal?
Yes. No-proof class action claims are a court-approved mechanism. You sign under penalty of perjury, so it is a real legal statement and you should only claim what you actually bought or were affected by. Filing an honest claim for a settlement you qualify for is entirely legal, and is exactly what the no-proof tier exists for.
Do I need to be in a specific state?
Most no-proof settlements are open to residents nationwide. A minority are state-limited — typically California, Illinois BIPA, or Washington job-posting settlements. The live list shows the eligible states for each.
