Pennsylvania’s own consumer protection law

Pennsylvania Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law (73 P.S. § 201-3). It declares unfair methods of competition and unfair or deceptive acts unlawful, and then carves out the messengers: the Act does not apply to a broadcaster, publisher, printer or internet service provider who carries an advertisement “in good faith and without knowledge of the falsity or deceptive character thereof.” The advertiser is liable, the medium that ran it is not.
